Chosen Ones & Challengers
Shop Idol is the biggest sales competition in mobile and sets out to find the best sales person in mobile retail. It is run by Mobile and sponsored by Motorola.
The prize is a £2,000 holiday* and more important the unrivalled recognition of peers and rivals throughout the whole industry! Here’s how it works:
The Chosen Ones
Major retail players have hand picked their best sales people to go forward in the competition. In the first stage of Shop Idol, the five 'Chosen Ones' will face a video mystery shop and a test of product and sales knowledge.
The Challengers
The Chosen Ones will face competition from the Challengers - rising sales stars within their companies. Anyone can put themselves forward to be a Challenger. Just click the enter button on the website.
We will be selecting up to five Challengers from each company based on retailers’ votes and the views of Shop Idol judges. So get busy! Enter yourself and get your colleagues to vote for you. (Note you must be a mobile retail employee to take part).
The Champions
The top Chosen One and the top Challenger will go into a head to head where their employers and our judges will pick the company champion to represent them in the national final.

The competition involves video mystery shopping and the capture of images from sales consultations. You will have to sign a disclaimer agreeing for these to be used in editorial or promotion in order to enter the competition.
